The one that's already there? It's the vent tube that runs out the roof.

The one attached to the tractor is the 1" pex tube that I got to make a straight 90 turn inside a 2" pipe with a little redneck engineering.

Dirt down for the pull thru. Rock truck expected at 7:00am tomorrow morning. I'll pack the dirt tonight before they get here.

I only ordered one truck. Likely going to need two trucks. I need to put a bigger culvert in towards the beginning of the drive. 4" PVC isn't cutting it and the tropical storm we had that sit on us a couple months back caused it to overrun and erode a small section of driveway. I'll order the second truck after I install the new culvert and build the road up around it.

Progress is slow but is being made.

And the Tractor. I'd be lost without it doing this stuff.

And wouldn't you know it. 30% chance of rain and I've got an inch already. Hope I can stop the rock truck.

    But she's ready for it.

First load of rock down. More dirt on the way.

Have another 20 tons of rock coming after I backfill the new culverts.

So close to being done with the driveway. 800' in total length.

I'll need another yard or two of rip rap to finish it off.

Nice you don't need no tamper with that truck driving on it!

JB. That culvert does not look deep enough. I hope it doesn't crush when you drive over it. That stuff depends on the earth around it for support and to distribute the load.

I guess it that proves correct it is easy to change later. That drive is looking real good!

I'll take some pictures tonight so you can see the finished product. I put 8 yards of dirt on top of one of them and raised the road over the culvert.

I put 20 yards on top of the other one and raised the road there. Why I need more rip rap. Didn't finish until 2130 last night so I don't have any pictures of it.

Here you go Dan. I'm not done grading.

And the 150 doesn't like a yard of rip rap in the back.

40 yards of crusher run down. New Culverts. Road raised over them. Rip Rap where water was backing up to them.

Need one more load of gravel since I used some to cover the dirt over the new culverts. For the entire drive I'm at 168 yards of dirt and 95 yards of gravel. I'm going to let it rain on it to see how it looks before I haul any more in. May wait until Spring. Will see how it does.

JB, is that #57 gravel? If not what size? Any idea of the weight of the truck and how much it holds?

I think so - I'll have to see if it is on the receipt - They just refer to it as "Crusher Run"

Tri-Axle is a 20 yard delivery - Sometimes they fill the truck up and I got a couple more yards - Sometimes I only get 20. No idea on weight. Can also order it in a dual axle truck and get 15 yards.

Got 2 of 4 Door openers up and operational. Man these things are quiet. A little slow for my liking but they do the job.

Got topsoil down and raised the dirt to be even with the drive so it will run off without pooling. Tractor was down the past week with a leaky radiator hose so I haven’t been able to spray the weeds in the drive.

    Now bring on Nate.

I hope you knocked some wood. 8" of rain over a few hours will have those corner downspouts rolling like fire hoses.

I got those plastic trays at the bottom of them turned around backwards to disrupt the flow a bit. And it will hit old compacted dirt/gravel before it gets to the new stuff. Hopefully it won’t wash a ton out. Even if it does it better than pooling and backing up into the shop on the lower end.
