    Speaking of plumbing, UPS man dropped these off today. Need a little trim also, but at least they are longer than needed. Was gonna go blue decided to keep all the rubber parts in natural black.

    Next time your checking out a pair of engines with all nice braided hose and AN fittings, keep in mind there is likely more money in hoses than his props..

    Here is about $300 in just turbo oil return lines. Haven't even ordered the big 316 stainless waterline fittings yet. Fresh water running certainly has it's finical advantages...

    Before I can finish the plumbing I need to know where to mount the heat exchangers. Because of the offset on engines, I don't know if they will fit below the headers, same side for both engines. So figured be easier to mount one up and measure. Then I can finish plumbing and fire them up...

    My old Dodge got the parts delivered once again. Made me question it a couple times along the way, but it got us here.. Gonna go chill with some buds, then hit it hard Monday morning.

    Had some rubber gaskets cut for the Weismann extension boxes. Not sure how well they will seal, but since we are not sure of the height yet either, should keep it afloat for long enough for testing..

    Also here is a closer look at the modifications required to the transmission spacer before tacking it to the rear mounting plate. Had to add 1/2" between the SAE 3 adapter and transmission, rather than cut down the flywheel that much. Because all SAE flanges use alignment rings, the spacer has an edge that fits inside the adapter. However TG's transmissions have a dozen allen head bolts that barely fit inside the adapter. but hit the spacer ring. So took combination of milling machine and die grinder work to make the trany fit the ring. Flywheels only needs a 0.150" cut now , and hope to hell it all lines up...

    Since I'm concentrating on getting these engines fired up, decided to put someone with skills on wrapping up the drive work. Just so happens that Warren from Precision Sterndrive has a shop right next to Phantom Boats. A 30yr Merc tech, he'd been eyeing those Weismanns since I showed up with them. Warren also drilled the extra holes in our extension boxes for me. So when I was ready to change gear ratio in the drop boxes, only took one call convince him.. He dove right in, and found a couple issues that had been overlooked by previous owners. Luckily the old spare parts box had everything needed to bring these back to like new specs.

    Things been parked waiting for prev owner to produce title. Seems we overlooked that small part, till it was time to mate all the hardware to the hull. When I ask about insurance, it became a "I thought you had it" issue... Lol

    But it's getting worked out now.

    I didn't feel it would be wise to drop all these parts in a uninsured hull and chance something happening. At least on engine stands, they're covered under home owners.

    The whole international aspect has some challanges, to say the least. Might have to say port of Nassau on her stern...
