Don't feel bad Ray. It just can't be done. Not your fault.

Trim indicator t bolt clamp. Mercs pn is 54-845144. No way im paying 11.99-14.99 each! I search R.G.Ray pn 2071-40 and come up empty.

Any one know the t-bolt clamp size or manufacturer pn? It is the clamp that holds the mechincial indicator to the trim ram

These are just standard T Bolt clamps? I'm looking at RG Ray's product catalog and don't see a 2071-40 or TL2 mentioned.

Correct. Just normal old SS -bolt clamp. Some where in 2-3" range is my guess. Id measure them it but they are all deformed from being clamped to the cylinder and what not. I figured I had home run with 2071-40 number. But same as you comes up empty

ASE size "40" clamp is about 3". But 3" seems big

    SOB. Found it on OSO
Page 2 on google search (like there is ever anything after page 1 on google.)

    https://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/...or-clamps.html

I know a lot of people have been looking for the clamps to hold the mechanical trim indicators to the hydraulic ram and after looking, contacting Joanne, and trying a few different ones I finally found a good replacement all stainless steel from McMaster-Carr part #5204K12 it is a 2-5/16 to 2-5/8 inch clamp that is almost identical to the original.

    Hope this helps!!

Yep but needed to know the size. Too short...... Well we all know what to short gets us..

Too long on a worm clamp and the tail hang out causing a something you can get cut on and or snag. Cut the tail off and now there is a even a sharper metal edge to get cut on.

EDIT: stupid button. 2 weeks ago I had a snowflake mofo at work get 3 or 4 stitches from a hose clamp Incident report he filled out said " I was walking down the aisle in side the yellow lines. My had some how cough a hose clamp on the high pressure unit causing a laceration on my hand" .

I'm on the safety committee here at work . We LOLed about it in the meeting and asked each other what, "was he doing the Micheal Jackson dance wile walking or tryin to fly like a bird flopping his arms around". Meeting was last wends,.

But since a report was filled out we had to investigate. We reported back the High pressure unit is not in the walk aisle. Walk aisle is clearly visible. Wrapped hose clamps close to walk aisle in vinyl red and white tape to prevent it from happening again.

It that is what reminded me I need to find hose clamps for the boat

It's best not to interact or even acknowledge those hillbillys. What ever you do don't make eye contact, I understand it will suck not only ALL intelligence out of you but also verbal skills and table manners. Wise choice Rainman.

Well i come up with 1 thing.... the marine industry up here are all crazy and over priced. Engine rebuild $ went up even more. Now it is at minimal 4k on LB. No boaring no pistons!, and more less no warranty. Pat said it would be closer to 5 on total bill. I didnt even hit up Sam. His booth was packed with people.

Words to engine rebuilders from me. Why spend 5k+ on rebuild when you can buy brand new LB with warranty for 7? Ugh.

So maybe time to sell the broken engine and just buy a used one or new LB.

One cool thing a local place is now a Donzi deailer. Had the 22 with 8.2HO in it at the show.

Docks.... more crazy. Steve asked how much for a couple more sectios to make a "L" shape. Over $1500 for each one!

    So the search contunues.

This is one of the few time I am grateful for the skills I've acquired. There's no rhyme or reason a big block rebuild should cost you that kind of money. Stick the word marine in front of engine and you can rack the price up 200%!
