I used to jack my trailer up every year and get the tires off the ground. I made seasonal bearing and brake maintenance easier anyway.

Last year I did not and could not tell you it made any difference. I do worry about that stuff though. Weight always on springs (particularly the rubber sprung torsion axles) and tires etc.

I will probably just worry and leave it on the ground again this year since I haven't jacked it up yet.

Thanks for the input dan. Mine has leafs, i think if i had the torsión axles id put forth effort to raise it. I figure, clean and repack bearings will add to my spring opener list of things to do. The let just keeps getting longer LOL

We have more good property here, but we don't tell just anyone. But if it doesn't work out, I will let you copy my idea of having a tarp over the bow that sticks out the shop.

It could be worse. You could find out that your house loves you more than you love it, you know, like Hook.

$300/month. About 100 yards to the beach. Can't be any worse than a single wide.

    TBM Refugees

Lot next to me is for sale SB, 5 Acres. And the house 600 yards or so from me may be a repo sale soon. Heard someone may buy it before that happens, but we will see.

    How big can you go?

Vanderburgh Co Indiana has some weird restrictions. Outbuildings can’t be taller than the highest point on living quarters. BIL almost had some issues, but got the inspector to sign of using TV antenna height.

You probably could Leroy. Problem is they won't let you build anything within 70 meters of the high water line. Even if they did, the combination of acid water and 9' tidal swing would sure make construction "sporting".

That's on the Caribbean anyway. You don't want to live there; "other side of the tracks" so to speak. There's 3 (soon to be 4) nice marinas on the Pacific side, plus a few more quasi shitty harbors with a dock. Or, just do like we do and hire someone to take you out in their panga. At $200/day with a captain and a deck hand (along with a full cooler) it's pretty damn cheap boating.

That is small. You are sitting on almost an acre.

Still, that is nearly 22x50 feet. Not a bad shop provided you put a door in each end.

On the home front. Things are looking up for us. We are about 180 degrees opposite of Ray's philosophy.

Kendall buddy, we've got to figure out how to get two boats on this dock.

That would come to 308 sq ft for my property......

That would come out to be only 2 foot wider the my shed at 24x45.

Just piss them of and go 24' tall walls Build some Fancy Ho lift and have stack-able storage.

O and put in a 18' wide door. 16 is ok, 18 is way cooler

Transom to the dock. Anchor out 45 degrees off each boat, off the front. Tie the boats together. 2 boats in 1 spot

45 is tight but "should" fit a 38 TG. ( my ultimate boat some day,) so i wanted it to fit in the shed. Measurements I gathered off the trusty interwebs is 44' for a TG - drive to trailer tongue .

Have you ever measured speedy on the trailer?
