I’ve got to get the limiter bumped up, I can hit it with any of the props I’ve run so far

Thinking about pitch, trials and our "true knowledge" about these stock 272's.......

We need to find a 27p M+. Charlie's 25 is a labbed "strong"/ tall 25p. Doesn't have the lift of the grind but has the tall pitch/rake. Result, hit limiter.

The B1 26 is also a 25p. Hit Limiter, speed unreported.

Secret grind, 24.4p, same speed, better grip and hit the limiter.

Prop her out at 5300 then apply the acquired knowledge on the wheel. I think your new mill is makin AT LEAST 500. I bet she runs mid 70's when you get her dialed.

I think a good bilge rat would offer up his service to change a raw water pump to further prove his worth!

Ahhh. Stephen. I dropped that teeny tiny little screw. Would you be a good bilge rat and get down in there and find it for me?

    Try to keep up.

    PBN App

Edit: Yes it sucks. Yes, Tapatalk sucks. Yes, it is a troubling sign.

Since OSO has really taken the big nose dive with their reformat (no picture uploads), we need to be recruiting a few of those guys to come over here. Philrup and Igetwet are two that come to mind. They are doing some really interesting things with their boats.

Replacing cables is fun. Looks like some gel work will get done on the transom. SS clam shells are smaller then the black plastic POS's. At least I have unlimited time until i find a engine. Taking the controls apart I lost 1 little spring for the ball detente And Baja wiring sucks. It is every thing in my power to look past it when I have the gauges out.

Hey Rob, at least the cutout for the dash is nice. Mine looks like a drunk snake (or KeFurr's course, take your pick).

Use the SS clamshell. Get the West Marine Kit for filling holes (it uses a syringe to put epoxy in the bottom of the hole and fill it from the bottom up), then get the gel patch kit. There is a thread on this somewhere. Those holes are very easy to fill and gel and you will never know they were there.

Dan . I would have looked right passed filling the hole with epoxy first, and just slammed some gel in it.

Mixed feelings on the 525. Yes I would love to own 2 of them. But the maintenance cost is threw the roof. 10-15 hr on engine oil. Drive oil 10-15 hrs. Drives (the XR's ) only last 150-200 hrs, some less. $10K header replacement, besides the alarms we had.

Tuesday we just got news back on the Jeff's drives. Both are gonzo!!!!! 1 is destroyed, the one we broke and knew it. George said it was a matter of seconds before that drive would have been hanging by the tie bar. The other (star side) he said were lucky it isn't in pieces and still turned the prop.! He is now going all in and having them ungraded at the same time to "stage 3" so they stay together.
