Only to beach and talk to friends who are hanging out there. I haven’t eaten there but once, and it was years ago.

Burgers and Bushwackers are great. I'd much rather hang at a place like PC than Lulus standing in line with all the brats on vaca.

Pirate’s Cove is also cheaper food. Lulu’s was only chosen because it was the longest ride time. I might only eat there once every 5-7 years. We were thankful it’s off season and plenty of docking room.

Cheap is good. I still got a kid in college. Good times been had at PC.
Edit: I had to tow 650 miles to get there. plus $11 a foot to haul and splash my bad ass boat.

What wheel we runnin this weekend Keff?

Got Rob’s 26P B1 (stock unmolested I believe) on it this weekend
I was thinkin 4 blades would dredge a bayou faster than 3

Not the prop for a 272 but something to try and get info on
Tops out at 67, holds almost as good as the “grind” in turns, and like Charlie’s 25 and the “grind” I can pull it to the limiter
If I wanted to cruise at a leisurely pace for a week or two trip (maybe Ft. Myers area) its a great fuel mileage prop, crazy thing will roll along 35mph @ 2800-2900 rpm and just over 2.8 mpg
It feels good but never gets the lift needed on the big end

Good stuff Kefurr. My thoughts exactly.....mid range cruise is the only possible advantage running the B1 26 v the grind. I'm still not convinced how much more efficient it actually is. Do you have the numbers to compare the grind @ 2900? The folks always saying how great the 4 blade runs have never run the grind and just don't know any better.

I also believe it is unmolested, but there is a 4 digit # stamped into it on the outside (towards the base) that isn't Merc doing. Not sure what it means.

2.8 mpg . That's flirting with outboard #'s, only sweet music of BBC vs pack of angry bees.

I really like the B1 props. By far the best all around prop I have run.

And a note to self (and to all that have 6.7 ltr. F250's), be careful removing the oil filler cap. I was changing the oil and just wanted to loosen the cap to allow some air in so that the oil would drain better. I must have had the cap off more than I thought because I dropped it and down it went into the abyss of the engine bay. I like to have never found it and when I did I couldn't get to it. It landed up on top of the cross member (which is about 12 inches wide) and between the steering sector and the block. My arm looks like I shoved it into a grater.

You have that "uh oh" moment when you realize you've dropped it and you hear it bouncing off various bits on the way down and you just keep waiting for the "clack" of it hitting the concrete. No clack.

The 2018 boating budget is starting to take its hit! Daughter is getting married next September so the things (bills) are starting to show up. Happy for them and I think there may still be a little in the budget for boating?!

Well congratulations Big Daddy! Don't look at it so much as losing a daughter, but more as gaining a bilge rat. I sure hope he's handy and not one of these golfer types. He just may have to pass a Refugee Approval Test.

The stock B1 24P I am using made a noticeable improvement overall on my 23 Outlaw.

Don't sell that prop with the boat. Give them the mirage. Someone here will want that prop and it will probably be Leroy or I. That's a dang good prop for most of us (not you KeFurr, you 26 spinning fool, owners with normal engines).

Thanks for the compliments and congrats. They seem to be very happy together love being on the boat and goin to the islands when they get a chance to get down but like everyone else Life/work seems to make those trips few and far between. My phone rang one night and I didn’t recognize the number and almost didn’t answer but for some reason I did, it was Stephen calling to ask for my blessing to ask Sam to marry him.
I think a good bilge rat would offer up his service to change a raw water pump to further prove his worth!
