Wise man once told me to buy beer and cigarettes. Best currency there is after a hurricane.

In to win.. Yes true. Never drove a 33 with them in. Im still on the cliff on that when I re do may cables.

The 36 OL in our group I have seat time in. He is in to win, 500HP's, 26 Bravo's. Docking.......... Lets just say the boat dose not respond. Put it in reverse and it takes about 15 seconds for the boat to respond. Might as well dock it like a single screw. But WOW dose it really carry the bow. Screen shot form a video I took of the 36 (Fes boat)

I'm confused., is the 33 in the pic spinning in? And yes it matters if the drive shower is on the wrong side it becomes a vent tube.

    Right Chad?

No the one in the pic (for sale craigslist) is spinning out .

Interesting on the it becomes a vent tube. Really makes me want to take a video of Steve's on his 30 now (on the wrong side)
Do you have any links to research it? The halos IIRC (other very popular one) has pick up on both sides.

I have personally seen mine in action( on the correct inside for spinning out) and it is a fucking pressure washer at 34 MPH.

Hook. You've been reading too many of Slandrews posts.

    Ease those throttles back.

I imagine it only matters at little or no forward motion.

Serious bidness...... Drive showers....Installed on the WRONG SIDE of the cav plate....Opinions please

Here's my theory Rockrobster, with that dual pickup you show above, it doesn't matter that "one side" is sucking as long as the other side is picking up water the tube is full. If the pickup is only on the "down stroke" side of the cav plate, it's a vent tube.

    Ok. I'll bite.

All they do is slow you down. That's a $100 of wasted beer money.

Yep. I've got my popcorn ready.

They keep the drive cleaner too. Seriously.

Bmax drives are internally cooled. That's probably the way to do it, don't you think?

They definitely keep the drive cleaner and COOLER.

    The question is about cavitation.

    They do. And I do.

But SERIOUSLY? Get with the sprit here. Arneson's don't have any drive shower or cooling at all and they are "indestructible".

Drive showers don't affect Cavitation at all. None Zip Zilch. They may affect Ventilation though.

Being a jerk is really a lot of fun isn't it?

Now the best use of a drive shower might be to disconnect the shower and point the hose straight up so you could pretend you have a PWC. Or tell your buddies that you can throw a 50 foot "Rooster Tail". Now you're talking.

That's why a lot of the big power guys out west run jet drives. The theory being it's much easier (and cheaper, not to mention more fun) to make 30% more power to offset the loss in thrust. That and they don't break.
